1) I believe that the other poster meant "do you want to get flamed" rather than "do you want to get trolled." Trolling is the act of going to a specific forum and purposefully saying things to incite anger from the community e.g. going to a Nintendo Wii forum and saying something like "Wii graphics are fail." Being flamed on the other hand, is saying something ignorant (despite the general ignorance that composes the internet, people always assume that everyone is informed about the subject that a forum is based on) that will result in people furiously insulting you, your intelligence of your very existence.

2) I had to laugh when you called Shiki the "fruit knife glasses guy." I suggest you go watch the anime Shingetsutan Tsukihime. It doesn't quite catch you up on the Melty Blood story, but being familiar with Tsukihime helps out enough to at least know most of the core characters and their names. Either way, welcome to the forums.

Anyways folks, personal update here. I just ordered Act Cadenza ver. B from Play Asia. Should be here by Saturday or Tuesday (Monday is MLK after all). I already have the bootleg on my computer (I know, shame on me) but I am excited to finally be out of that horrible pit and back into the light. Now that I own a Wii, I think I am going to get out of PC gaming...with the exception of Melty Blood.

Can someone say pwned?

Oh well, it's cool.  Which moon style of w.Len you play?  For her, C seems to be the best style overall, but F has some pretty neat tricks if you don't mind having to work REALLY HARD to get your wins.  H is like...do people even play this?  lol

I'm actaully doing C first and then move to F so that I could adapt to whoever I'm playing against...H is good damage wise, but lacks on air normals...it's kinda crazy that she can do 5.1k with H  , but ugghhh yo you going to winter brawl at philly...it'll be like my first tournament ever!!!

Well, air normals is always a weak point for any style of w.Len.  Just gotta really utilize those ground normals.  H is sort of weird though in comparison to all the others.  Run instead of teleport dash, an actual crouch, etc.  Unfortunately, I won't be at winter brawl because I'm WC and I don't have the money atm to fly out.  You better come down to Evo though!  I'm vegas local, so it's my time to play the good host for the melty community.

Never realize it till now...I'll see what I can do for Evo I have relatives who live there and it also it would be my first going to California or w/e it's going to be...I love her ground game and stuff and the lil orbs she throws...so that would be great and XAQshinor plays as her so that makes more epic then it is.  I'm Hoping that I can to final round...if not then its not really a big deal.

Hey word up?  The name's Carl, but all of my friends call me rice because before I game or bboy(breakdance) I always eat rice and stuff.  Before I played MB, I played MvC2 and Guilty Gear.  At MBAC I played as Tohno and Kohaku and V.Akiha, but for MBAA I'm learning H-Ryougi and only her, somtimes I'll play C-Tohno just for hell.

I really don't know if there is a scene in boston...I only know LordPangTong plays, who goes to boston for school but lives in CT.  I would like to have a gathering of all the MA players who play this game...but yeah thats pretty much it.

You should play F Ryougi cuz she has more bboy stances.

man I was trying to download that in which I use Google Chrome but I can't...oh well that video was really good, I'm liking F-WLen and C-WLen but for H-WLen, it's true that she does good damage but I'm not so sure about her air normals and such.

Yeah, H-Nanaya is pretty easy to pick up. I personally started off with C-Ryougi, but that was more personal preference than anything.

Yeah, usually it depends by preference...most players start out with those character and then once when you feel comfortable with one of those characters you move to another character(obviously), but just experiment with different characters and you'll see who suits you best.

And remember to always go to the MBAA wiki for preference and go on IRC for advice as well.

I'm quite sure there's a difference between cool and RAW MASCULINITY.

Yeah, raw masculinity is cool+.
